This is a "mule" that was driven around the streets of Detroit for awhile. It has the chassis and engine that was being developed for the 1997 Corvette, but it has stretched body panels from a 1991-1996 Corvette. They were able to get real-world impressions of the car they were working on without giving away any secrets.
